Quite an appropriate title for today’s games but this post is nowt to do with footy so you may switch over now if you like. Along with my newfound newness (pun intended!) 🙂 I have come up with some new life goals. It’s going to sound lame but ever since I was young the thing I wanted most was to find that person to share everything with and I did but apparently it isn’t my time yet so I decided to readjust what I want out of life. I want simplicity and fun. I want to enjoy every second of what I have left. I want to be guided by my inner child. No drama, no responsibility just love and happiness and sunshine 🙂
I was working on my future in London because I intended to stay here for good but I discovered that the reason I was staying here was just a fantasy. So I have decided that I am going to do everything I can to fulfil my dreams of seeing the world. I don’t get passionate about many things but this is something I have always wanted to do and always enjoyed. As it is my last year to get a working visa for Australia I am working my butt off to save up to go, hopefully by the end of the year but definitely by the beginning of next year. I plan to start in New Zealand where I can stay with a friend then head to Australia and do a massive loop of the country, working along the way if I start to run out of dough. Once I’ve gone that far it makes sense to just carry on and I plan to hop over to Thailand and Cambodia after that. When I come back I want to do a tour of South America so more working to save then off again. Dragoman do some incredible trips and South America is not somewhere I would do on my own as it doesn’t seem the safest place. Not sure of my route yet but Peru is a must, Costa Rica would be great and I think Rio has got to be done.
Once I have those two out of my system I think the rest of the world can be done just through holidays. As much as I would love to do a massive road trip across the States I think it’s a little unrealistic unless I find someone willing to do the whole trip with me. Safari is something at the very top of my list, I’m thinking Tanzania. China, Japan, Iceland, Prague, Croatia, Caribbean and many more all to follow that. There is this place called Jade Mountain that looks like utter paradise and that would take a lot of saving up too. Its a goal of mine and one I will achieve!! If I live that long. On return from South America, I will then concentrate on a career. There are so many courses I want to do but they all cost so much it’s frustrating. My ultimate aim career-wise is to be self-employed. My dream job would be a writer however at the moment I’m not sure I have enough motivation to do it consistently. However, I have decided to give it a real go and will be taking baby steps to get this into gear.
I am so excited about my future and can’t wait to see what it holds! I went through a rough time and didn’t feel like I had much of a future but life goes on, no matter what happens. You can either exist in a state of day to day mundane or you go out and live!
